Willow
This 20 acre mining claim has a lot of significant historic value to the Idaho City region. Before I get too far ahead of myself, some amazing features about this placer claim, is that is located about 10 minutes (less than 5 miles) outside of the historic mining town of Idaho City. With the “physical location” of this mine, there will not be neighboring “claim owners” contesting any boundaries, as the property along Willow Creek abutting this site is State lands. Upstream (within the State land area) is the older “Summit Group” & “Mattie Group” lode mines, which were some of the primary vein structures that deposited the rich material into Willow Creek. With the remote nature of this mining claim (which “can” technically be accessed by a 4WD vehicle), it has kept this area rather secluded, which means that your typical weekend “lookyloo” traffic will not be venturing onto this site. There are multiple areas where camping (even directly “on” the claim) can be set up. I should alert you however, that for bringing in larger “camp trailer” equipment into this site, some minor road grading would be needed (but easy to complete across State lands). Samples collected (from picture bellow) was collected in a mere few minutes, from just a couple pan’s worth of basic “panning”. Now, while Willow Creek itself across this mining claim in most years has “year-round-water”, it is still considered to be a “seasonal drainage”. However, there is a LARGE pond (almost “lake” size facility) located “on” the claim, which has AMPLE water “year round” adequate for any type of prospecting or even larger scale mining needs. Again “FULL SERVICES” are located just a short 5 miles or about 10 minutes from the this mining claim at the “historic” mining town of Idaho City.

Overview
Driving Directions from Boise: Take HWY 21 (from Exit 57 on I-84) approximately 38 miles north out of Boise to Idaho City. In Idaho City, take a left onto Montgomery Street. In about 0.4 miles you will turn left onto what is also referred to as Montgomery Street or Centerville Road. At approximately 4.2 miles after being on Centerville Road, turn left onto an unmarked service access road (or almost exactly 1 mile past the landfill road & NF 311 Warm Springs Roads). At about 200 feet after turning onto the service road, you will make a right at the T. After another 250 feet, make another right. You will continue one this for approximately ¼ of a mile, where right after crossing Willow Creek, you will make a left. You will continue following this straight (forward) for approximately another ¼ of a mile until you reach the mining claim. These are rougher dirt access roads where a vehicle with plenty of clearance & 4WD is encouraged.
