Overview
Driving Directions: Vehicle access to the claim is via a hard-pack dirt road which you can drive virtually up to the creekside. The claims are located 22 miles outside the historic town of Idaho City. Driving directions to the claim: from Boise, travel north on HWY 21 to approximately 18 miles past Idaho City to the Jackson Peak Lookout turnout (Edna Creek Campground). Turn right (east) on Crooked River Road (NF 384) for approximately 4 miles. Turn left (north) at the Jackson Peak turnoff onto NF 312. You will stay on this road for 1.1 miles until you reach the Pikes Fork Junction (NF 312 to Jackson Peak). Banner Delight is on the south side of the junction (just drove through it), Banner Delight is north of the junction and also up Jackson Peak Rd., and Banner Au is 0.6 of a mile north up (strait) on NF 385. The Forest Service does have a road closed sign north up NF 385, however it is because of a culvert being repaired which is past the Banner Au mining claim.
