Alice Winters
Alice Winters is a very unique mining claim located just a couple miles outside of the historic gold mining town of Idaho City and in the Mores Creek drainage (but not “on” Mores Creek itself). I am often asked if I have any more dry-washing style mining claims, and this site is targeted for that particular use. However in the springtime it would make great high-banking opportunities, as there is one decent sized seasonal drainage called Walla Walla on the claim, but this is dry in late summer. There is public access to Mores Creek which is 400’ from the claim, so pumping water up (for high-banking or potentially larger operations) is also an option. These high benches along Mores Creek had lots of pay material extending high up the hillsides, and while you can see some old workings across the mining claim, areas of undisturbed virgin ground can also be found.

Overview
Show me the Gold
These below samples were collected “on” the Alice Winters mining claim from just a days worth of dry-washing. As you may notice, it is larger chunkier gold and this is mainly due to the dry-wash unit’s limitation to capture the super fine gold.
